Fox and Magpie

This picture is for my children's book illustration portfolio. I am going to work towards being a book illustrator so i thought I would build up a nice portfolio of traditional art.

This picture was really tricky as it is the first proper picture i have done using Stabilo CarbOthello pencils. They are difficult to use as they smudge easily, so for this one i had to keep spraying areas i had done in hairspray to seal them.

This picture took a huge amount of time, maybe about 15 hours. I got inspired to do this when i saw a fox and a magpie together one morning
